Willem de Boer wint Loop Leeuwarden
Willem de Boer heeft de tiende editie van Loop Leeuwarden op zijn naam geschreven. De atleet kwam op de halve marathon binnen in 1.12,37.
De Boer wonend in Exmorra en trainend bij het Leeuwarder Lionitas, was bij de mannen een van de favorieten. Leeuwarder Remon van Lunzen liep de halve marathon in 1.15,25.
De Keniaanse Nancy Arusei, vooraf door de organisatie al getipt als vrouwelijke winnaar, won in 1.14,24. Zij kwam achter De Boer tevens als tweede overall binnen. De uitslagen zijn hier te vinden.
